Margaret RE: William Gibson screening [by Kliger Dinkin]

Fellow Second Lifers and William Gibson fans:

Monday’s screening of William Gibson’s documentary “No Maps for These Territories” in Second Life was thoroughly enjoyable and we had a great crowd. Viewers were intrigued by William Gibson’s disposition and his answers to many of the questions. Many new questions have surely been inspired for the much-anticipated appearance of William Gibson in Second Life on August 2!

For anyone who missed the beginning of the film, or was unable to attend on Monday (as is probably the case with several interested Americans), we are pleased to remind you “No Maps for These Territories” will be screening again this Sunday, July 22. The screening begins at 7:00pm BST (11:00am SLT) and is held in the new cinema in Avalon on the adjacent sim, Rivers Run Red. See you there!

In Avalon, interested avatars can also pick up a William Gibson shipping container full of information on the competitions for a winning container design and William Gibson avatar, which we are hosting until July 30th. Entries and queries can be directed inworld to Margaret Riversrunred or emailed to Margaret@riversrunred.com or IM Jeremy Neumann inworld. Join The Penguin Readers Group for the most updated information.

Koz RE: note card post problem [by Kliger Dinkin]

Hi,
you definitely had text only?
I had a bug with notecatrds last night, which I need to look at.
It seems that sometimes it drops text, sometimes it doesn;t. I'm testing to see if that's a case of the scripts or the actual environment.

I did a much longer notecard post earlier. And it dropped some text in the middle!! ie: not truncated. So, it makes me think something is hiccupping when it reads the card.

I shall investigate deeper.

thanks!
Kliger Dinkin RE: note card post problem [by Kliger Dinkin]

This post was truncated also... the entire text, as taken from the SL note card is as follows:
>>Koz, bought a copy this morning and everything is working like advertised. Excellent. Except... when I tried to post via a note card (like I'm doing now), the entry was truncated after about 250 characters. Is this normal? Is there something I'm missing? Is this post truncated too? .Kliger

<sl:simname>Huchu</sl:simname><sl:regionX>231</sl:regionX><sl:regionY>247</sl:regionY><sl:regionZ>58</sl:regionZ><sl:globalX>1035</sl:globalX><sl:globalY>919</sl:globalY><sl:globalZ>58</sl:globalZ><sl:avatar>Kliger Dinkin</sl:avatar>
