here I am in a great place, it is called NOAA. It's a very interesting place where you can find anything related to science, weather.. well... you have to see it with your own eyes. You can ride a baloon or live a tsunami. See you soon! posted by Alejandra Heberle on Meteora using a blogHUD

Science!
Dedric Mauriac posted about this and I just had to check it out. It's a dynamically updated weather map of the lower 48 states, built by NOAA. It updated with fresh data shortly after I arrived. The thunderstorm over South Dakota has animated lightning. Cooool.

Real Time Weather Reporting
Forget those snazzy looking 3-D maps on TV. NOAA actually has a 3-D map that you can walk on. I see rite now that some clouds are over my part of the world and rain is falling on me. Those are some big rain drops! There are many other exhibits setup here that I haven't gotten a chance to see yet. Thanks goes to DrFran Babcock for letting me know about this place. And if you don't know what NOAA is, it is the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.

I can't believe how great NOAA Island is! There's a plane tour of a hurricane, a submarine tour, a weather balloon tour, and a TSUNAMI SIMULATOR. Quite amazing and informative! posted by Beak Delebat on Meteora using a blogHUD
