I'm selling out today...it's time to move along. This is GREAT property, with all of the unobstructed waterfront. I'm sure someone's going to love it. Just had to get a view of one last sunset behind Galaxi's iconic treehouse at the mouth of the river...

The start of the new Vig estate
With my "Reflections on Sacred Space" build gone, it's time to finally start building my long-awaited "mansion." I started with the observation tower out in the water and quickly modified and replicated it into....sculpture platforms. I guess some things aren't meant to get out of one's system. With the water taken care of, I'll start on the grounds and the building next.

Anj Gustafson closes out the Oyster Bay closing gig
Anj (in white pants) played a collection of great songs from the 70's up through today....fantastic guitar, flute and keyboard work from a very talented musician. We're clearing out now....what an incredible evening. A celebration in the truest sense of the word. Thanks to Cyanide Seelowe, Rezago Kokorin and Isolde Flamand for putting it together!

Oyster Bay is closing! Let's party!
In anticipation of the forthcoming closing of Oyster Bay Sculpture Garden and Aquarium, I've taken the apocalyptic tone with the marketing . :-) "The End Is Near" - both on signage and (free, soon to be collectors items) sandwich boards! The big "End of the World" party is on for tomorrow from 5pm to 7PM SLT. Should be fun - let's go out in style!

Cheen Pitney's "Gymnasts"
Tonight's SL photo is a no-brainer; Cheen IM'd me and told me he moved his former winged piece out and replaced it with this troupe of gymnasts. Cheen has such a variety of styles, ranging from some of the most realistic work you'll see in SL to some of the more abstract, like these pieces. They also remind me of a very early Cheen piece, "If You Love." Actually, it looks like Cheen went back to "If You Love" and built upon it with the whimsical gymnastic equipment...which is quite fun! I think I'll double-feature this and grab a photo of that piece too.

Morning at Oyster Bay
Here's a view of the Bay - from a perspective I ususally don't get! Pulling back and looking at the entire place gives one a sense of the scope of the activity at Oyster Bay.

Sabine Stonebender's "Ghost of the Depths..."
Sabine took her classic water dragon and turned it into a glowing ghost! Fantastic work by one of SL's master artisans. Come check out this wonderful piece on Oyster Bay's waterfront.

Finny's Back!
After a long drought, I reconnected with Finny Yates - SL's great avatar morph artist. She says that she's working on 3D morphs - which I can't wait to see! Great to see you again, Finny!

MoShang Zhao LIVE at Oyster Bay
The pixels are a-gyrating as MoShang plays his Chinese Chill for the masses. Wonderful world music, electronic layers with Asian influences...

Oyster Bay's 2007 Christmas Greeting
"Just a little" bigger than a Christmas card...I probably should have scaled it down a little...but it was a fun project for the evening. Not only is it on display on the Oyster Bay waterfront - I hand-delivered it to everyone on my friends list and also distributed it to the legion of Oyster Bay afficionados! Call it prim spam if you want, but that's the only time all year that I've done that...and it's important to express your gratitude, appreciation and love to your friends at least once a year. I hope folks like it!

Special machinima Christmas gift from Cheen & Kronos
At the base of the Oyster Bay Christmas tree - the new Kronos Kirkorian machinima about Cheen Pitney's "Water is Life." It's a powerful statement about the role of water in our lives and our world...and how we also abuse this precious resource. Kudos to Cheen for the build, and to Kronos for the machinima!

The Oyster Bay Christmas tree by WindLight
It's a wonderful collection of Madcow size and scale, but also the ingenuity of the individual artists in making beautiful ornaments with only 5 prims or less.

Madcow Cosmos' tree topper
This squid/star combination sits atop the 80m tall Oyster Bay Christmas tree. What a fantastic contruction....and collaboration! I really need to count all of the artists who put their ornaments on the tree. Yesterday's call for submissions also got a whole bunch of new ornaments. What fun!

At the base of the Oyster Bay Christmas tree
This is a sculptie snowman, designed by sculptie wizard Charlot Dickins. A perfect addition under the Madcow Cosmos' steampunk Christmas tree!

Cheen Pitney's incredible Phoenix
OK, so Cheen's new Phoenix with Rose sculpture didn't show up so well with the photo hud (the one that makes "polaroids"). So I'll try again! Again, folks, this is one incredible sculpture.
